Purpose, Time and Seasons...

According to Eccl 3:1, there's a time, a season, and a purpose to everything under heaven. Mankind has tried to live life in its fullest, we've tried to enjoy life; we've also tried to understand life, but have miserably failed at it because we have not understood purpose, season, and time. Living life without purpose, it's like driving a car with no where to go. Destination makes a care necessary; so is it with purpose that makes life worth living. Some people get a car to be seen, but that's not the car's purpose. Some people get a car b/c it defines them, but that's the purpose either. The car's purpose has destination attached to it.

Living without a destination attached to it(purpose) is lifeless living...and many things we encounter in life can destroy us without an understanding of this. Purpose then becomes the most important thing to know in life, b/c with the knowledge of purpose for my life I can overcome everything that attacks my life and threatens to steal, kill, and destroy my life.

Time reminds me that no matter how difficult my life has been...I'm still here. Seasons remind me that even in the worst of times it WILL change. GOD's idea for you is that you have a full, complete life and to show earth a part of GOD manifested in you that had never existed before; something that HE wanted on display in the earth. So I implore you, return to your GOD, the only ONE true and living GOD, and find out your purpose b/c only He knows.

Purpose, Time and SEASONS

Now that we have considered purpose and time...lets look at seasons. According to Eccl. 3:1, everything under heaven was given a purpose, a time, and a season. We know purpose is the reason for the existence of a thing and GOD has given us a number of days to finish what HE began in us. So then, "my future" is not ahead, "my future" is trapped inside of me, and only the creator of me can release it."

What is a season? A season is characterized by one of the four periods of a year; spring, summer, autumn, and winter. Spring is a season for planting. Summer is a season of growing and maturing. Autumn is a season of harvesting and reaping. Winter is a season for preparation and planning. These are also the seasons of our lives. The WORD of the LORD says to everything there is a purpose, a time, and a season. These seasons come and go. It's important for you to maximize your life and to live the abundant kind of life that JESUS intended for us to live. It's important for you to know what season you are in.

A season is defined as a period of time marked by certain conditions, which makes things suitable, proper, fitting, and right. When something is in its season, everything works for its good. A season cannot be denied...you must go through it. A season cannot be stopped. When you defy a season, a season can kill you. I believe it's the will of GOD for us to use purpose, time, and season to live a full life. What season are you in? Do you know?

Some people are expecting a harvest when they should be planting. Some people are trying to grow and increase when they should be planning and preparing. When you confuse the seasons, you violate your growth. So I'll ask you again, what season are you in?

Purpose, TIME, and Seasons

Now that we have an insight on purpose, realizing that GOD does nothing without purpose, let's take a look at time. The Word of GOD tells us that everything under heaven has a purpose, a time, and a season. There are two terms for time in the Greek chronos and chiros. Chronos has to do with linear time, 12:00, 1:00, Monday, Tuesday... Chiros has to do with appointed time, prophetic time. There is nothing in chronos that can stop chiros. As a human being, being the purpose of GOD in the earth, you've been giving chronos. You've been given a number of years to finish what GOD started you here to do, or sent you here to do.

There are a lot of people who are wasting their time(chronos), while their appointed time(chiros) suffers. Days and years are passing, they are expirementing with life, and life is a test-tube for many. While their purpose is hidden in GOD.

GOD is the redeemer of time b/c anytime during my life, I want to know what I am here for, what was in GOD's mind sending me here, what is my purpose, I can always go back to GOD and find out. Knowing that HE is the author and finisher of life.

Question: Where are you in your time? How much time have you used? How much time are you using? How much time do you left to finish your assignment?

These questions cannot be answered by humanity, the answers can only be found in GOD. Regardless to how much time I've wasted my purpose is never aborted. When I turn to GOD for my purpose HE redeems the time, HE buys back what I have used up, and what I have wasted experimenting with my life.

Time is what GOD has given me to fulfill what I've been called to do. What are you called to do and how much time have you wasted? Are you doing what you have been called to do, or are you just wasting time?

PURPOSE, Time, and Seasons

To everything under heaven there is a purpose, a time, and a season. Purpose is the original intent for the existence of a thing. Purpose is the reason why something exists. And where purpose is not known, abuse is inevitable (I can't emphasize this enough). One might ask what is abuse? Abuse is made up of two words, abnormal and use, so where I do not know the purpose of a thing, I abuse it. So abuse is using something or someone outside of its original intent or creation or reason for its existence.

Let me ask a question here: what are the purposes of things and people in your life? Do you know what was in the mind of GOD to send them in your life or have you allowed them to satisfy a need for your life without knowing the purpose of their existence?

Purpose is the most important question in life and for life. GOD had a reason, a purpose, and intent for your existence. Do you know what it is? No one else can tell you your purpose, purpose is only found in the mind of the creator of a thing. Ford cannot tell me why Cadillac puts certain buttons on their cars. They can guess, experiment, and they can learn by trial and error...but if I really want to know why Cadillac put certain buttons on their vehicle, certain things that do what they do, I need to go back to the Cadillac manufacturer.

Take for example: One day I wanted to tighten a screw that was loose on my door, and the "quickest" way to tighten that screw was to use a butter knife. I wanted it tightened so I used what was convenient and I abused it, b/c that's not the original intent for the butter knife. Instead of using what was created for my "issue" I used what was convenient, and I abused it even though I got the screw tightened, but now the butter knife is scarred and bent out of shape.

Question: who are you “scarring” to satisfy your need or what you perceive to be your need? Stop misusing things and people to satisfy a need! When your path cross with people, you should ask GOD (the creator) why this person has come into your life so you won't abuse that person, their gifts, talent, or time. We enter into relationships with people that have purpose to their life and for their life, but many times we only use them to satisfy our needs and we call it purpose. Stop experimenting with people and relationships and seek GOD for direction.

Stay tuned....

The Seven Powers of Purpose: IV

If you vow to practice these Seven Powers of Purpose, I promise you that your life WILL change. I look forward to hearing your praise reports and testimonies.

So here's the seventh and final power!

The Power of Receptivity and Connectivity
(Say these aloud to yourself)
  • I am receptive and respectful to all of GOD's creation
  • I came from the GOD that created all things...therefore I am connected to all things
  • I am connected to someone I have never seen or met, so I must treat them all like family
  • I must remember all people are of one blood...even though we're not all one color, we're not all from the same country, and we do not all speak the same language; we are still all of the same blood.
  • To reject someone that is different from me is to reject GOD! This in itself should make you look at the way you treat people!
  • I am receptive and connected to all.
*I look to stay connected to you.

In HIS love,
Bishop Talbert

The Seven Powers of Purpose: Part III

GOD said my people perish for a lack of knowledge! It's not because of the devil, not because of life's circumstances, but because they won't listen to, believe, and adhere to the Word of the LORD. Anything disconnected from it's source dies. A bouquet of roses looks great in a vase, but it was dead the moment it was cut from the bush. It'll only be a matter of days before the petals start to whither and fall. As it is with the roses, so it is with people and any living thing. So learn and strive to practice the principles of power so that your life won't whither away and you can experience the exceeding abundant life GOD wants for you. HE wants you to have it, but it's up to you to get it!

The Seven Powers of Purpose: 5 & 6

5.      The Power of Increase:
  • GOD is the GOD of increase
  • Increase is the will of GOD for your life
  • GOD's purpose for life is increase, everything in life seeks to increase
  • To know GOD is to know increase
  • To love GOD is to love growth (increase)
  • There is no end to GOD, there is no end to HIS creation, there is no end to the universe. There is no end to increase, so broaden your vision.
6.       The Power of Unlimited Abundance:
  • The limitless GOD created you in HIS image, therefore you are also without limits
  • Science books are outdated after 2 years, technology doubles every 18 months, and your abundance must increase to keep up with it all.
  • GOD is endless and so are you; therefore remove the boundaries, barriers, and borders that have been placed upon you, and you'll go further
  • You are not limited by what you have or what you do not have, but what you have becomes a seed for your abundance.
  • Whatever you have done is history; you can do more. Whatever you have given is gone; you can give more. Wherever you have come from is behind you; you can go further. There is more in you, there is more for you. You have to say to yourself: I will not stop because there is more in me!!

The Seven Powers of Purpose: Part II

As I said last week, purpose is the reason for the existence of a thing. Purpose is the intent that GOD had for something to exist. Purpose is the end or the conclusion for something to begin; and everything under heaven has a purpose. Nothing exist that GOD made that does not have a purpose for HIM making it.

There's seven powers of purpose:
(Here's numbers three and four)
3.    The Power of kindness
You become what ever you speak, so read this aloud so that it becomes a part of you.
  • GOD was and is kind (HEB: chasad-to show oneself kind, merciful, approachable, graceful, benevolent, and good will, favorable and beneficial)
  • GOD was kind to create me in HIS image
  • GOD was gracious to form me from the dust of the ground, but HE put his spirit in me.
  • GOD was merciful to forgive all my sin...
  • Because God is ....therefore I am kind, merciful, approachable, graceful, and benevolent. I show favor to others and I am a benefit to all.
  • I show acts of kindness to build my healthy immune system and to increase the production of serotonin in my brain that makes me feel comfortable, peaceful, blissful; even those who witness these acts of kindness will also have a healthy immune system, which is my bodies natural anti-depressant and aids me in my long life.

4.     Power of Beauty
What else would a lovingly created, kind expression of GOD be, other than beautiful?
  • GOD is beautiful and created everything beautiful; therefore you are beautiful b/c HE created you in HIS image
  • There is beauty in everyone and everything HE created.
  • You should find, look for, speak about, and praise the beauty in everyone
  • See GOD's beauty in you! See GOD's beauty in everyone! And, see GOD's beauty in everything!
